August is National Immunization Awareness Month and we are celebrating!
COVID-19 vaccines offer us the best protection against COVID-19 (including the variants like Delta!), which is projected to surge again this fall. Even within our own workplace, we have witnessed how well the COVID-19 vaccines work. Want more good news about the vaccine? The more people who are vaccinated, the less opportunity the virus has to mutate into new variants. Many SMSC employees and team members have already been vaccinated, and we are inviting more to do so this month.

Nervous about the vaccine’s side effects?
Understandable. However, most side effects people experience are mild, and it is a normal sign that your body is building protection against COVID-19.

Ready to get your shot?
Tribal Public Health is partnering with Health In A Hurry to bring you weekly walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics in August and September! All events will be held in the Mystic Lake team member hallway.

Same-day vaccination appointments can also be scheduled at Shakopee Dakota Medical Clinic or Mystic Clinic.
